Growing interest has prompted St Helena’s marine conservation unit to issue “basic interaction guidelines” for anyone given the opportunity to swim with the whle sharks:
- Touching or riding whale sharks is strictly prohibited
- Underwater flash photography is prohibited
- Swimmers must stay at least ten feet away
- Divers must not “chase after a whale shark in an aggressive manner”
Sub Tropic Adventures follows and respects these rules diligently and trusts you will do same, when encountering whale sharks in their natural habitat.
When we protect our wildlife, we protect our tourism assets.
Whale Shark Fever!
Welcome to Sub Tropic Adventures
These majestic, gentle giants have been a big hit for St Helena, and has been Sub Tropic's most popular tour since the beginning of 2014. If you want to experience the thrill of swimming with whale sharks in our sub tropical waters, contact us now!
Dolphin watching; still a big trend.
The whale sharks have certainly been in the limelight recently, but this has not diverted the interest of dolphin watching. Dolphins in St Helena waters are quite the extroverts, and never fail to put on a good show for their human spectators. Contact us now to book a dolphin waching trip.
